Introduction to the Process Flow
1. Extrusion: The material undergoes high-pressure, high-temperature processing within the barrel and is extruded through a die to achieve the shape specified by the customer.
2. Cooling: The dog chews pass along one or more cooling conveyors to lower their temperature and set their shape, preparing them for the subsequent cutting stage.
3. Cutting: A cutting machine slices the product to the preset length at a constant speed.
4. Drying: The high-moisture dog chews are processed in a hot-air circulation dryer to gradually remove excess moisture. Upon completion of drying, the product hardens and sets, achieving a firm, chewy texture; simultaneously, water activity is effectively reduced, significantly extending the product's shelf life.
